About
I am a Counselling Psychologist, and have experience working with clients across the lifespan. I work with adolescents, young adults and adults to help them in understanding themselves and others. Deciding to access counselling is often a big decision and it can take a while to find a psychologist that you feel safe, comfortable and at ease with, someone "who really gets you" so to speak. I am able to work with clients who are experiencing mild to acute mental health issues and have experience working in a more acute inpatient setting.
I offer both short term and long term trauma informed therapy. I am EMDR trained and I have a keen interest in working with individuals experiencing relationship difficulties, helping people who have experienced trauma, women's issues and young adults and older adults who are experiencing significant life transitions.
My approach to counselling is person-centred, confidential and respectful, with an emphasis on acceptance and working in a non-judgmental way. In doing so, this allows my clients to engage fully in the therapeutic process as it is this relationship between the client and the therapist that is so important for healing and change to take place.
