About
My work with people is inherently underpinned by a strengths-based and recovery oriented model. We all have strengths and qualities that can be shaped and enhanced to equip us to journey toward our individual version of a more meaningful life. When we are distressed, overwhelmed, feeling burdened by external pressures and struggling with our own internal doubts. My clients come across a range of industries psychological recovery, employment placement, rehabilitation, intellectual disability and aged care. I continue to be inspired by the people who seek my support and I look forward to hearing from you and sharing your journey.
I draw heavily upon therapeutic approaches that are congruent with this philosophy, in particular Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Other therapeutic approaches that I use to support people on their personal recovery journey include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I am here to understand your current worries, concerns and triggers, to guide you in finding tools to address those issues that are troubling you right now. I take time to listen and hear what has surfaced in your life that is triggering difficulties for you; to explore and help you to clarify and define your goals and to map a path to help you journey
