Sharna is a genuine, experienced therapist. She works with people aged from 16 years through to adults. She has a particular interest in work with complex trauma (in particular, childhood physical, psychological and sexual abuse). She is also experienced working with difficulties such as: grief, family conflict, relationship difficulties (including domestic and family violence), anxiety, and mood disorders.
Sharna a has a warm, client-centred, and trauma-informed approach. She uses attachment-based therapies, and is also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), with a preference for this modality of treatment from a client-centred perspective, utilising parts work derived from Schema Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
