Shanling is a registered Educational and Developmental psychologist with extensive experience supporting children and families across diverse settings, including indigenous health communities, education, NGOs, and Child and Youth Mental Health Services. Her special interests are supporting children and adolescents with developmental differences and/or complex trauma backgrounds. Shanling holds an interest in neurodiversity. She can provide psychometric assessments tailored specifically to identify learning difficulties, autism, and ADHD and provide relevant recommendations for neuroaffirming adjustments in the school environment.
Shanling believes that nurturing a child requires collective effort. She places a high regard on a multidisciplinary approach to the care of children and adolescents. Shanling is dedicated to fostering close collaboration with family, fellow educators and health practitioners.
As a former international student and first-generation immigrant, Shanling values opportunities to assist families and individuals with Cultural and Linguistic Diverse backgrounds as they navigate life in a foreign country.
