I work with warmth and curiosity to help develop a deeper understanding of your concern and make sense of why particular patterns might be causing distress. I work from an understanding that many of life's concerns stem from our past experiences in relationships and the structural difficulties that are present in our society. I endeavor to understand peoples experience and distress through the context in which they live. I believe that the more we can understand the fixed patterns we find ourselves stuck in, the more chance we have of learning to live in more meaningful way. I offer supervision, individual and couples therapy.
I have worked in a broad range of area's including trauma, youth mental health, general counseling / therapy, parenting assessments, addiction and cancer care / health. I believe that many of life's concerns are rarely easily categorized or defined and often can be understood in a multitude of different ways.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about whether therapy would be a helpful support to you at this point in life.
