I'm a clinical psychologist with experience in both the public and private sector helping teenagers and adults overcome emotional challenges. I believe people need someone to be in the moment with them as they face their feelings in response to everyday struggles and past issues. I prioritise emotional regulation and understanding so people feel empowered to meet their true capacity and overcome life's challenges.
At Lacuna Clinical Psychology, I help people with a wide variety of problems. Through short-term dynamic psychotherapy, clients gain cognitive and emotional insights, allowing for deep and meaningful change. This approach focuses on understanding you and your difficulties at the deepest possible level so change can be long-lasting.
You won’t feel this way forever. As humans we crave connection but when connecting makes us anxious we often withdraw from ourselves, our emotions and other people. I focus on finding the person underneath the anxiety. I believe your emotional suffering, trauma and early childhood experiences does not define you but contributes to your current struggles.
