Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her). I’m an accredited Mental Health Social Worker (which means if you have a GP referral you get an $87 rebate from Medicare ten appointments a year), but perhaps more importantly I'm a queer, polyamorous trans woman. Mental health and counselling has been my vocation for about 15 years, and I've learned over time that most people who see me are looking for a counsellor who understands queer issues without needing a bunch of education on gender identity, intimate relationships, or complex dynamics like polyamory/non-monogamy. Don't worry fam, I get it.
Queer issues aren't the only area I specialise in though; I've supported hundreds of people through all kinds of issues. I am especially passionate about the isolating nature of self-harm and suicidality, working through grief, and the challenges of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world.
Unfortunately, my previous practice in Warwick closed and I'm currently in the process of setting up phone/video counselling options while I line up a place to meet with clients in-person.
