My task as your counsellor is to provide an environment that disrupts your current level of functioning and move you towards change and renewed progression. You may show up to counselling immobilised & stuck, unable to move beyond entrenched unhealthy relational patterns or addictions that deeply impact your emotional, psychological and physical well-being. The repetition of these unsatisfactory behaviours, thoughts and feelings is what leads most clients through my door. I observe your discrepancies, mixed messages and inner conflicts in your statements and behaviours, regarding the most personal dimensions of your life challenges.
The inconsistencies are marker points of your difficulties & concerns we unpack with clear grounded intentions to create safe space for change. Resolution of these discrepancies or ‘blind spots’ is central to the counselling process. Evidence-based techniques & resources provide a clear map to equip you to cope more effectively & authentically in life.
Tailored Psychological Interventions are selected, which research and experience has shown to be most effective for each client’s specific needs. My counselling style centres on active engagement & the quality of our client-therapist relationship, shown to be the most important factor for successful therapeutic outcomes through our collaborative framework.
