I'm a specialist grief and bereavement counsellor, and I support individuals to manage complex or distressing grief experiences, and adjustment difficulties following the death of loved one.
I provide a supportive and reflective space to talk about the person who has died, and to understand your unique grief experiences and grief responses. I can assist you to recognise and utilise existing personal resources and strengths, and to help you to build additional effective coping skills to manage to impacts of your grief, and to adjust to the changed life and the secondary losses that arise in bereavement.
My specialist grief knowledge and counselling expertise comes from over 12 years’ experience in a palliative care setting as a senior clinician. In this role, and in private practice, I have supported a diverse range of adult experiencing significant grief and loss, and mental health concerns related to having a terminal illness, caregiving and bereavement.
My aim is to assist you to restore your identity, confidence, and well-being, and to find new meaning and purpose in the face of significant loss. Please contact me if you have any questions, or to discuss how I may be able to assist you.
Please note: For non bereavement or illness related grief concerns, I recommend seeing an alternative therapist.
