My name is Samantha, I'm an experienced counsellor and accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the AASW. I have over a decade’s experience working with adults who have experienced complex trauma of various forms including; domestic violence, sexual abuse, intergenerational and interpersonal traumas - helping people address the various ways this can impact a number of aspects of their daily life.
The daily resilience it takes to not only endure but move forward in life despite having experienced extreme and confronting situations is a gift that I feel lucky to witness and walk alongside. I look forward to working with you soon.
I specialise in trauma counseling, sex therapy and burnout prevention. I work with clients to process experiences of trauma and their impacts, including sex-based concerns, mood-based disorders, addictive behaviors and unhelpful coping behaviors more broadly. I'm interested in taking a holistic approach to working with clients in understanding themselves.
Trauma can affect numerous parts of life including mental health, relationships & intimacy, our sense of self identity, life meaning and overall well-being.
