Everyone has their own strengths and potentials - often all you need is a leg-up to help reach for them. We experience life differently, too. One person's anger, trauma, grief or self-doubt is not the same as the next person's. My interests in animals, nature and outdoor sports taught me to value the whole person; mind, body, heart and intuition. So you won't have to perform in any way. Each session is designed for you, based on Master’s degree-level expertise, evidence-based approaches, compassion, respect and experience.

While we are diverse in nature, our beliefs and ideals as we travel through life, we all go through emotional challenges. If where you are feels uncomfortable, that you feel challenged, stressed and possibly without direction or meaning I am able to guide you through, where you unfold naturally your next best steps to take. You may have ailments that frustrate and inhibit your everyday living and live in fear that can often make no sense, however this can be gotten through. And where you feel empowered and worthy on your path in life.

I get it. You're struggling with balancing work and life and trying to make sense of how to not be so frustrated and angry about the state of your world when it all seems too much. Then trying to explain it all to someone (perhaps your partner) when it gets too much but who can only offer a sympathetic nod or unhelpful advice such as 'just get over it' or 'you're being dramatic!' (which rarely helped in the history of advice!). The problem is not having space or the ability to try and untangle your thoughts amidst trying to just stay afloat in an ever-increasing complex world with competing demands on your attention and sanity.

I work with adults affected by trauma, stress, and overwhelming life experiences, using EMDR therapy as my primary approach.
As an experienced EMDR therapist in Adelaide, I support people who are ready to process the memories, beliefs, and emotional patterns that keep resurfacing. EMDR can help reduce the intensity of past experiences so they no longer control your present. Many clients begin to feel calmer, more grounded, and more themselves as therapy progresses

I believe everyone can benefit from therapy - from seeking support for a life transition; to exploring and healing trauma; to identifying and optimizing your patterns for greater satisfaction in your day to day life and relationships. We all thrive when we are seen and heard for who we truly are, in a non-judgmental and caring setting. I became a therapist because I am genuinely curious and interested in people, getting to know each person's unique experiences, and supporting them to heal and thrive. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable to be yourself; allowing you to explore, grow and heal.

You're insightful, maybe overthinking a little too often, and carrying more than you show. You might be navigating burnout, trauma, identity shifts, or relationship strain—just trying to make sense of it all. You're not here for surface-level coping or fluffy advice; you want honesty, depth, and a space to show up without the mask. By the end of our work, when life tries to push you, I want you to be able to look it dead in the eye and say, “No, YOU move.”

I've spent twelve years on the front line of community services. I've worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor. I've supported people rebuilding their lives after prison. I've spent years working with children, adolescents and families under strain. I’ve worked with many couples on the brink of separation. And I've facilitated around a thousand men's behaviour change group sessions — thousands of hours in rooms with men working through anger, relationships and accountability, many of whom walked in convinced that counselling had nothing to offer them. That kind of work teaches you things that you can’t learn in a textbook.

I have worked with both young people and adults, specializing within Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities to encourage social connections and identify complex needs to support the wellbeing of clients.
I am a Mental Health Clinician. Within my role, it has become a great passion of mine to work alongside clients to help them identify their own values, qualities and strengths. I also believe in assisting clients through a strengths based perspective to acknowledge their own history and the part it plays within their journey. I provide a space for clients that is safe and judgement free, where they are able to explore said journey and decide the path they would like to take towards their future.

You may appear to be functioning well on the outside. But inside, something still feels unresolved. You've done the reading, perhaps even the therapy, and yet the patterns persist. The weight hasn't lifted. Something deeper is asking to be met. I'm a Clinical Psychologist offering online therapy across Australia, working at the intersection of trauma healing and depth psychology. I draw on EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems and somatic approaches to work with the parts of you that talking alone hasn't reached. Not just processing what happened, but exploring who you are becoming.

FAQ - About Adult Counselling
Why should adults see a therapist?
Adults may benefit from therapy for a wide range of reasons—whether it’s managing symptoms of a diagnosed mental health condition like anxiety or depression, navigating life transitions, coping with grief or trauma, or simply seeking support during a challenging life period. Many adults find that therapy helps them build healthier coping skills and better process their emotions, which may lead to better relationships and reduced stress. It’s important to note that, unlike psychiatrists or primary care physicians, therapists do not prescribe psychiatric medication. However, they will often work alongside prescribing clinicians to ensure coordinated care and can provide behavioural therapy as an important addition to psychiatric medication. Mental health concerns can look different in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence, so finding a therapist with expertise working with adult clients is important. Conditions like major depressive disorder (MDD), generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for instance, may present or resurface differently in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence. Adult-specific stressors, such as job strain, caregiving responsibilities, relationship challenges, financial stress, or identity transitions, can also influence the onset and type of symptoms an individual experiences. Adult-focused therapists, therefore, are trained to understand these complexities and tailor care accordingly.

How do I know if a therapist is the right fit for me?
When seeking care, it’s important to understand a therapist’s treatment specialties and their overall approach to treatment . Some therapists focus on common adult conditions like anxiety or depression, while others specialize in areas such as trauma, substance use disorders, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. It’s also important to consider a therapist’s training when seeking care. Therapists in Australia hold various credentials depending on their training. Counsellors and Psychotherapists are registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and their qualifications and practice are overseen by these professional organisations. Psychologists must be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and have professional designations such as Clinical Psychologist, General Psychologist, or Counselling Psychologist. All of these professionals can provide talk therapy but do not prescribe medication. When searching for a therapist, consider their credentials and training background to ensure a good fit.

How do I find a therapist who sees adults?
Psychology Today’s online directory allows you to search specifically for therapists who work with adults. Each provider profile includes key information such as clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, licensure, accepted insurance plans, languages spoken, and session fees. Reviewing these details can help you determine whether a particular provider aligns with your needs and can indicate whether they are a good match for adult clients.
