I offer therapy sessions in person, online, via phone call, or text-based sessions.
Hey there! I’m Catherine. We all know what a counsellor does, we listen and support. However, we all work a little differently. So, in my practise, I love working with people from all walks of life, who want to understand their inner world on a deeper level. This includes your feelings, thoughts, relationship patterns... those areas that you may feel are little tougher to talk about and understand. I am deeply curious in helping you find ways to feel less distressed & overwhelmed. I love supporting you to find your answers to life stressors, so you can feel more connected to yourself.

I offer therapy session in-person in a cozy, beautiful space where you can come as you are.
I work with people who are juggling a lot—whether it's the lasting impact of childhood or past trauma, ongoing anxiety, or the day-to-day stress of parenting and relationships. You might be someone who tends to take on a lot, who strives to stay in control or meet high expectations, even when it feels exhausting. To others, you may appear outwardly successful but internally feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. If you're looking for a space to better understand yourself, let go of unhelpful patterns, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life, we may be a good fit.

I am mobile and can arrange a private face to face space or can meet you online.
In today’s society, many factors contribute to feelings of confusion, distraction, and a lack of clarity. In this social-media-driven age, humans are becoming increasingly distant from one another while also forming unrealistic expectations around identity and purpose. I aim to assist individuals in breaking through these societal expectations and barriers, uncovering their true, authentic selves and reaching their full potential.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
