For in-depth exploration and trauma-focused therapy, I use approaches from Schema Therapy.
You may be seeking support because things feel harder to manage, whether this shows up as anxiety, low mood, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or feeling disconnected from yourself. Sometimes we can look like we are coping on the outside while feeling stuck or exhausted internally. I offer a warm, collaborative therapy space to help you make sense of your experiences and work toward meaningful change. I support adults and young people with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment and relationship concerns, self-worth, grief and life transitions.

If you're considering therapy you're likely entertaining the possibility of change! Many clients have a sense of feeling 'stuck' - that what they've been doing isn't sustainable - old coping/survival strategies aren't workable and use up valuable energy, e.g.. avoidance of/distracting from/suppressing/whiteknuckling/ruminating on: thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, urges, images, memories. These maintain negative cycles, keep our emotional brain vigilant to 'threat' and our nervous system mobilised in a stress response. What if we could imagine a future we'd like to participate in, regardless of what's showing up in the present?

My passion is working with clients that are seeking to enhance their self-understanding and relationship with their bodies. They may face challenges such as eating disorders, body dysmorphia, or body image concerns. Additionally, they might be navigating women's health issues like Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder or perinatal mental health challenges, or are exploring their gender, sexuality, or identity within the LGBTQIA+ community. I also have experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns and general life stressors.

I get it. You're struggling with balancing work and life and trying to make sense of how to not be so frustrated and angry about the state of your world when it all seems too much. Then trying to explain it all to someone (perhaps your partner) when it gets too much but who can only offer a sympathetic nod or unhelpful advice such as 'just get over it' or 'you're being dramatic!' (which rarely helped in the history of advice!). The problem is not having space or the ability to try and untangle your thoughts amidst trying to just stay afloat in an ever-increasing complex world with competing demands on your attention and sanity.

My approach blends person‑centred counselling, Mindfulness‑Integrated DBT skills and Jungian perspectives to help adults understand themselves more clearly and respond to life with greater choice. I work with men and women navigating stress, anger, relationship strain, burnout and “what now?” moments. Together we slow things down, notice repeating patterns, and build practical tools for emotional regulation, communication and meaning. My earlier career in mining and construction helps me bridge the gap between the job site and the therapy room in a grounded, respectful way.
