I understand that high school and university can be a particularly tough time in people's lives, and I want to be there for people as an ear to listen. Not only schooling itself can be difficult, but every aspect of our lives can be - such as family, friends, extra curricular activities, risk taking, substances, and much more. It is easy to get caught up in issues with those that we are close with, so to work with a fresh set of eyes may be useful. I love learning about people's stories and will work from a non-judgemental frame of mind, because there is nothing to be ashamed of in sharing our stories.

My counselling work with children & teens focuses on ages 4 to 16, helping them navigate emotions, life changes, grief, and challenges through an approach grounded in care, curiosity, and creativity.
I support women, teens, and children through anxiety, depression, grief, emotional overwhelm, and life’s challenges. Using emotion-focused and somatic therapies, along with creative and play-based approaches, I help clients process emotions, regulate their nervous systems, and build resilience in a safe, compassionate space.

Beyond Talk Counselling is focused on helping clients finding healing, clarity and connection within. Whether they feel stuck in a particular area of life and don’t know how to get unstuck, or wanting to work on healing old wounds, recover from trauma, improve their relationships and their ability to move forward in life. To struggle is to be human. But sometimes those struggles become overwhelming and impact people's sense of self, their ability to engage in life and the people around them. At Beyond Talk Counselling I help clients overcome and transform life’s challenges and struggles into opportunities for growth and healing.

Clients who engage with me are committed to personal growth and are seeking an individual who can often just be a witness to their reality. Personal growth requires courage, courage to be honest and courage to admit that there are certain components in our lives we are unable to change. I have been privileged to be part of the self-actualization journey of numerous individuals over the years and I have come to understand that we all have the ability to evolve. Therapy is not for the faint hearted yet it is one of the best investments in yourself you will ever make.

Child Counsellors
Child psychologists in Metropolitan Adelaide provide mental health therapy to children and are experts in child development.

Every comprehensive review of therapy with children shows that all credible approaches, when performed by a competent mental health clinician, produce almost the same results. About half of all kids will get better. Of those that improve, 80% will show progress in a relatively short time (likely in fewer than six sessions), the remaining 20% will need longer-term support.

The best child therapists in Metropolitan Adelaide build great relationships with the child and the parent. They also see the child's strengths and are open to hearing the child's possible solutions to the challenges the child faces. Finally, a good therapist appreciates the child's culture and is sensitive to the values of the child's community.
