You might be doing everything you can to hold things together—managing work, relationships, family, expectations—yet still feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you’re tired of second-guessing, tired of carrying it alone, or tired of feeling like life is happening to you instead of with you. You want clarity, steadiness, and a life that feels aligned rather than exhausting. You’re ready for support that truly understands the complexity of your world and guides you with depth, honesty, and genuine care.

I'm looking to connect with individuals who are on a journey of introspection, exploration and unpacking thoughts, feelings and experiences. We will be working towards long-lasting change where the root cause of an issue can be addressed and processed. Each treatment is uniquely tailored to your specific needs and thus the therapeutic style is non-manualised and not necessarily focused on reaching outcomes/end results, but rather on the process of therapy and its unfolding nature. Having said that, our process always aims to foster meaningful change and lasting outcomes.

At InnerMatters, we support children (8+), teens, and adults navigating a range of emotions and challenges. You might be feeling stuck, anxious, burnt out, or carrying past experiences that still feel heavy, even if you aren't sure why. For some, it shows up as exhaustion, self-doubt, or the pressure to keep it all together. We also work with young people who may be struggling with big emotions, anxiety, low self-esteem, identity, or family dynamics. They are often feeling or experiencing more than they are able to express. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, we provide a safe, understanding space to explore.

You're juggling so much — work, relationships, family — yet still feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you're not quite yourself. You may be struggling with anxiety, parenting challenges, or difficult relationship dynamics, and just want some clarity, peace, and support. My clients are often looking for a space where they don’t have to hold it all together — where they can be honest, feel understood, and start making real changes. You want to feel more confident, more connected, and more in control of your life — and you're ready to do the inner work to get there.

I work with people who are juggling a lot—whether it's the lasting impact of childhood or past trauma, ongoing anxiety, or the day-to-day stress of parenting and relationships. You might be someone who tends to take on a lot, who strives to stay in control or meet high expectations, even when it feels exhausting. To others, you may appear outwardly successful but internally feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. If you're looking for a space to better understand yourself, let go of unhelpful patterns, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life, we may be a good fit.

I provide schema coaching to fellow therapists and parents who want to focus on their own wellbeing and emotional health. I explore the lifelong schemas that cause stress at home and work: unrelenting standards, self-sacrifice, emotional deprivation, subjugation and approval-seeking. My clients come with a feeling of imbalance, wondering if they must sacrifice their own joy, mood and energy in order to succeed in their careers & relationships. I enjoy guiding my clients back to their true self, by being kind to themselves, and learning how to tolerate short-term guilt and interpersonal tension to achieve lasting contentment.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
