Hi, I'm Diana, I specialise in infidelity counselling in Adelaide, marriage counselling, and narcissistic abuse recovery. I help individuals and couples heal from betrayal, rebuild trust, and recover from toxic relationship dynamics. When trust is broken through an affair or emotional betrayal, the impact can feel overwhelming and deeply confusing. Many people find themselves questioning their worth, their judgement, and whether their relationship can survive. I have over 25 years experience in Private Practice and I offer a warm, respectful and compassionate space to support my clients.

You may be someone who feels things deeply and notices more than most people around you. On the outside you may appear capable and coping, yet internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, or drained from carrying more than you let on. You might find yourself overthinking interactions, absorbing other people’s emotions, or struggling to set clear boundaries in relationships. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, empathic, and often intuitive individuals who want to better understand themselves, feel calmer in their own nervous system, and develop a stronger sense of where they end and others begin.

My ideal clients are neurodivergent teens, young adults and adults who are trying to understand themselves after a long time of feeling misunderstood.
Together we'll work on unmasking with curiosity rather than correction, build tools for burnout, meltdowns, and shutdowns, and find language for your needs, feelings, and limits so you can explain yourself without over-apologising.

Navigating the world as a neurodivergent person can be incredibly challenging, especially without adequate support. If you're autistic, have ADHD, are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or are a trauma survivor, you know the unique hurdles that come with higher rates of trauma and PTSD. Life can feel overwhelming when you're managing sensory differences, executive functioning struggles, and the exhausting work of masking.

It can be overwhelming and daunting to find a therapist who understands you, your story and your life. You don’t want the “cookie cutter”answers or quick fixes because it feeds into the dissatisfaction and feelings of being unheard.

I've spent my counselling career in grief and loss, supporting clients through illness, bereavement, caring, and the various losses that come with major life transitions. I'm not into toxic positivity – sometimes life really is hard – but I can offer a space to laugh and cry and rage and vent, and find ways together to keep moving forward.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
