Guys...if stress, anxiety, or addiction has you feeling stuck, unmotivated, or lost...you’re not alone. I get how hard it can be to reach out—especially when opening up to mates or family feels too close to home. It’s easy to push through, hoping things will change—but often that only makes things harder.

Real change and a better future is within reach—one where you feel more in control, more like yourself again. I’m here to walk that path with you. If you're ready , let’s talk.

I use a mix of evidence-based approaches — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Therapy — but my focus is always on making therapy feel like a genuine, collaborative conversation. I have a particular interest in grief and loss, especially sudden and unexpected bereavement (including suicide), and men’s mental health — two areas often marked by silence and misunderstanding. I also work with anxiety, stress, and relationship issues, creating space for people to be seen, heard, and understood.

Many of us are striving to be the best person we can. Sometimes we lose connection with that person. Life can be satisfying, and enriching, yet at other times a preferred life seems out of reach or only for others. We can have this preferred life. It's possible! Sometimes experiences of trauma, adversity and pain form stories around us that recruit us into thinking we can't. Some stories can even invite actions we regret that can separate us from people we care about, even from who we would prefer to be. Examining these ideas and stories in therapy can free up new ways of thinking and living for more fulfilling and joyful lives.

Senior leaders, busy professionals and creative entrepreneurs need to manage an unprecedented range of competing demands across their personal and professional lives. The pressure can be relentless, and career success can come at a high cost. Stress can have serious impacts on mental health, family relationships and physical well-being. Travel and work schedules can undermine marriages/partnerships and parenting. It makes sense to invest in your resilience, wellbeing and self care because resilient leaders achieve more.

Men are often taught not to reach out for help. You may have been made to believe that to seek help for yourself was to admit weakness or that it would make you a burden. Maybe you don't know where to start. But you've been thinking about getting professional support for some time now, that's why you are here. You know you need help, maybe because you're experiencing social anxiety or an overwhelming difficulty to get out of bed. You might no longer enjoy the things that used to make you happy, or you're having darker, more intrusive thoughts. It's starting to impact your relationships, your work & your physical health.

If you are not who you want to be, you can break down who you became by accident, and rebuild yourself as who you want to be on purpose.
Living with ADHD can feel like you’re playing a different version of life. What works for others doesn’t always work for you, even when you're giving it your all. It’s not about trying harder; it’s about working differently, with support that understands how you tick.
I founded T.H.E. Psyborg to give my ADHD and neurodivergent gamers a space to Thrive, Heal, and Evolve - safely and intentionally. (P.S. You don’t need to be a gamer to feel at home here, just someone looking for support that fits.)

Do you feel stuck in exhausting cycles of guilt, shame or self-doubt, even while appearing to function well on the outside? Difficult home environments, trauma, or neurodivergence may have shaped how you see yourself, leaving you silently battling intense thoughts and emotions. Perhaps you’ve been through painful experiences that others (or yourself) might not see as trauma yet they’ve had a deep impact. Trauma isn’t always one big event; it can come from ongoing experiences like emotional neglect, criticism, bullying, or growing up around conflict.
My passion is working with complex trauma often accompanied with neurodivergence.

As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.
How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.
Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
