Hi, I’m Rocio. I use she/her pronouns and live in Sydney NSW. I’m an IFS and EMDR accredited mental health social worker that is passionate about supporting others to come closer to themselves and the world around them. I am interested in deep work, and I like working with people that are emotionally courageous. I can offer medicare rebates through GP referrals.
I use a trauma-specialist lens to support people with depression, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, culture and migrant challenges, self-esteem and confidence worries, relationship difficulties , self-harm and suicidal thoughts or life transitions.
I'm passionate about challenging the stigma surrounding mental health issues, radical self-care and use a HAES approach to health and wellbeing. I use a feminist framework for practice and my work is underpinned by ethics of social justice and appreciation of intersectional oppression and the pursuit of dignity in a world where this is lacking for many.
