I offer male-specific counselling - partly because I've done my own version of this work and I firmly believe that every man deserves the opportunity to live a life that reflects his full potential - one no longer weighed down by shame, isolation, or outdated ideas about what it means to be a man.
My approach is unhurried and welcoming of whatever a client brings. I pay close attention to what's happening moment-to-moment, including in the body, and use that awareness to help a man understand patterns that show up in his relationships, while modelling healthy relationships within the therapy space itself.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent years leading youth development expeditions abroad - including cultural immersions in Indigenous communities - alongside personal training and disability support. Each of those roles taught me the same thing:
As humans, our capacity to grow and mature is best supported alongside someone that helps us notice the strengths we already have while understanding ourselves better, individually and within the relationships and communities around us. I bring that same belief into the therapy room.
