Hello! I am a Sydney-based professional counsellor who works with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I offer a non-pathologising and humanistic approach to mental health and well-being. Counselling with me focuses on making sense of your experiences and finding meaning in the stories that constitute your life. The therapy is tailored to your needs and our ongoing conversations may explore your feelings, coping strategies, support networks, values, and goals.
We are all resourceful and resilient individuals, and to get through some challenges and traumas we may adopt certain avoidant or coping strategies. Sometimes these may be maladaptive and cause us future pain. It takes courage and time to unlearn these, and requires self-observation, awareness, and reflection. Counselling can facilitate this process.
You are the expert of your own life, and I am here to assist you in actualising that. My role is to help you clarify and better understand what you feel, want, and need. Change can be difficult and lonely. Don't feel alone - reach out. We can’t go through life without experiencing pain, but how we resolve it will determine who we become.
