My name is Edwin Vandervelde and with my wife Lesley we are ReNew Counselling. As a couple's counsellor, working on communication, managing conflict, working through infidelity repair and strengthening relationships using specific interventions is the focus of my work. The use of a thorough assessment with a structured technique based on evidence-based interventions allows for successful outcomes in therapy. This couple's approach recognises the 'relationship' as the client, which incorporates the individual's commitment to work on their relationship.
My speciality is working with couples, and I have completed Level 1 & 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and I use this modality in my work as a therapist. In my work with individuals, grief & loss, depression, assertiveness and anger management issues are also a focus in my work.
