Hi, my name is Renee and I am an APPTA registered Child Play Therapist. I have a background in inclusive education, and specialise in early intervention. I work with children who find big feelings hard to manage, who become overwhelmed quickly, or who are still developing the play, social, and regulation skills they need to connect with others and feel steady in their day. Parents often seek early support, wanting to understand what’s underneath their child’s behaviour and how to help. Families hope for calmer moments, stronger connection, and guidance that respects their child’s pace and developmental needs.
I help children express and make sense of their feelings through play. I am trained to understand the deeper meaning in a child’s play, recognise play themes, assess pretend play skills and respond in ways that support emotional regulation, confidence, coping skills, and social connection.
