I work with adults and adolescents who want to stop repeating old patterns in their life and relationships. You're the one who is always there for others, but find it difficult to accept help in return. Your friends and loved ones reassure you, but you're plagued with a feeling that you don't really have much to offer. Self-doubt holds you back, and a constant battle with your inner critic leaves you exhausted. You've already worked really hard to try and make changes in your life, but frustratingly, your problems return and you keep struggling with feelings of emptiness and unfulfillment.

I thrive on helping people improve the quality of their lives by better managing their mental health. Maybe you have always struggled with things like worry, stress, change or low mood. Or maybe for the first time you have encountered a challenge that is difficult to manage on your own. We all face difficult and challenging times at some point, and may need to look beyond ourselves for practical support to resolve a psychological issue. When we learn how to constructively deal with our mental health challenges, we feel more empowered and better able to pursue those things in life that fulfill us and enable us to thrive.

We have all been in situations that we wish were different. We want someone who listens respectfully, to support and encourage us to get through this situation stronger and to be proud of who we are. It can be reassuring to work with a professional therapist to help clarify our thoughts, who will provide tools to manage concerns and assist in putting a life plan in to action.

Do you wonder whether your goals and aspirations have been influenced by society? Perhaps if you were truly living for YOU, your goals would look quite different. Anxiety can dominate our lives until we start uncovering what we truly want out of life. Radically accepting yourself - and understanding your true desires and values - can set you on a more meaningful and fulfilling path. Looking at our issues in a Holistic way allows us to understand ourselves better, which fosters self-compassion.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
