I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has experience in a range of areas including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, adjustment issues, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, bonding and attachment, and early parenting. I have a special interest in working with women and their families from pre-conception, navigating pregnancy and postpartum, through to the early years of parenting (0-5). I also work with young people (16+) and adults, and carers/kin who look after children involved with statutory services.
My therapeutic approach integrates years of clinical experience with warmth and authenticity. I work from a developmental, relational and psychodynamic perspective, and also have specialised training in perinatal and infant mental health, as well as in a number of evidence based approaches, including trauma-focused therapies.
Finding the right fit with your therapist is an important ingredient to have. As we work together, we'll explore your experiences and inner world at your own pace. We'll also work toward what is important to you as you find new ways to cope and relate to yourself and others, while moving toward the kind of life that is fulfilling and meaningful to you.
