I work with Couples and Individuals. Some of the common issues that couples bring to counselling are; communication issues, conflict, a break down in trust, affairs, mental health concerns that are impacting the relationship, lack of emotional and or physical intimacy, conflict and stress over parenting, grief, the impact of past traumas, transitioning into retirement and new relationships. The Imago Relationship Model facilitates a new way of communication that allows couples to understand themselves and their partner more deeply and bring greater safety, connection, healing, growth and joy.
I am a Certified Imago Couple Therapist and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I work with couples and individuals. I work in a way that is trauma informed, strength based and client centered. I have been a social worker for over 20 years and a counsellor for 13 years.
It can be scary to reach out and take the step of seeing a counsellor. My first priority in working with individuals and couples is to create a safe and welcoming space, to get to know you, understand you and support you in your relationships and healing journey.
