About
You may feel overwhelmed by life struggles, painful losses or relationship issues. We can work together in this space to acknowledge difficult and complex emotions and experiences, such as anger, anxiety, guilt and shame. Often people may feel alone in the midst of losses and transitions - families, friends and communities aren't always able to provide solace and support. Sometimes a loss or change may feel unbearable. Being seen and heard by another person can create powerful potential for healing and change. We can also work on long-term issues such as family dynamics and relationship patterns that sometimes add to isolation
I specialise in counselling through grief, anxiety, trauma, major life adjustments and transitions. Experience includes perinatal bereavement, sibling bereavement and major changes such as new parenthood, retirement, injury, relationship breakdowns or estrangement. I offer both individual and couples therapy and have trained with Relationships Australia.
Taking a first step towards professional support is a big move and can seem scary, especially if you are feeling raw and vulnerable. I aim to create a sense of safety in a therapeutic environment, to explore the process together and to gently build a rapport and relationship without the rushing or pressure that the outside world sometimes creates.
