As an accredited Mental Health Social Worker and registered counsellor/trauma therapist, I use therapeutic modalities that move beyond symptom management to address underlying root causes. I work with clients struggling with mood and anxiety disorders and shame/low self worth. I have a special interest in the impact and treatment of trauma, including working with PTSD, attachment/relationship issues and sexual assault/abuse. I am committed to a safe and non-judgemental approach where we work collaboratively to identify what you are wanting to change and how to go about it, in the least distressing and most effective way possible.
I am an EMDRAA accredited EMDR therapist and use this empirically validated (WHO, APA and Medicare) approach along with Coherence Therapy, IFS informed EMDR, DBT and Ego State therapies to help deeply shift current problematic patterns. I have a clinical background in public mental health services, family violence and sexual assault counselling services.
