I help men get on top of anger, stress, and habits that have taken over the same way you'd fix anything properly: work out what's wrong, then fix it right, not patch it over.
Most of the men I see are already coping, holding down work, family and day-to-day life, but are tired of the same blow-up happening on repeat. Blokes come to me when they're ready to put in real time on it, not just survive the next one

At times, therapy can involve vulnerability and emotional intensity; while at other times, it can be playful and enlightening. My approach is practical and empathic.

Therapy doesn't always have to take place within four walls. For some people, being outdoors makes it easier to slow down, breathe, and begin talking about what feels difficult. This is why I offer walk-and-talk therapy in natural outdoor settings, alongside online sessions, giving you the opportunity to choose the environment that feels most comfortable and supportive. I offer integrative psychotherapy for adults and young people aged 14 and over. My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in an understanding of the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system.

I work with people who sense there is more to healing than words alone. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure how to express what they’re carrying. They may be children, young people, or adults (including neurodiverse individuals) seeking a safe, creative, non-judgemental space. At heart, they want relief from emotional pain, greater self-understanding, and a deeper connection to themselves. Often, they are drawn to therapy because they are ready to invest in their wellbeing and are looking for a therapist who honours the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.

If you're looking at this site you're probably trying to find something or someone to help you move on from a difficult patch. We can't always change the world or others but we can always, by looking within, reframe circumstances so they more fully reflect a happier and brighter world. We all crave to live in a world where we are more truly aligned with our heart and its deeper longing. We only find that world when we can honestly say we love ourselves, which in turn enables us to love others. What is it that prevents us loving our self? Lets journey in this enquiry together.

I help Adults who feel stuck. They have the insight, the self-awareness and yet the same patterns keep returning. They are not broken. They simply haven't yet found the level where change can happen. Many carry complex presentations trauma, C-PTSD, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, anxiety, attachment difficulties. Many are neurodivergent, with late or questioning ADHD or autism diagnoses. Sessions explore what symptoms were originally protecting, creating the conditions for change at the source, rather than symptom management alone.

As a social worker and psychotherapist, what matters most to me is creating a space where you feel truly seen, safe, and respected. I want our time together to feel like somewhere you can show up exactly as you are (no masks, no pressure), and know that’s more than enough. I really believe that the connection between therapist and client is at the heart of any meaningful growth, which is why I bring a warm, down-to-earth, and often humour and playful energy into my sessions.

You've done the work. Read the books, tried the approaches, maybe even done therapy before. And yet something keeps running: A pattern you can name but can't shift. That gap between knowing and changing is exactly what I work with. I see adults who are ready to move forward, not just understand their past. If you want real change, not endless processing, you're in the right place.

I also work extensively with shame, anger, and relationship dynamics.
It’s important to find a therapist who feels like a good fit. You may get a lot out of our work if you struggle with assertiveness or establishing your own needs in relationships. You may be deeply attuned to others, overwhelmed and resentful, and stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You may struggle with shame, boundaries, or building relationships that feel safe and reciprocal. If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy but felt that something was missing, somatic therapy might help you work through things in a more integrated way. If you want not only coping skills but genuine growth and change, you're in the right place.

It's common for the people I see to have become very good at getting on with life while quietly struggling underneath. They may be burnt out, questioning their abilities despite doing well, or feeling lonely and disconnected even when they're surrounded by people. I also enjoy working with young people who want to make sense of who they are, the pressures they carry, and how they relate to others.

I work with people who feel like they’re carrying too much. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety, exhaustion, shame, or the sense that they’re caught in patterns they can’t quite see but can’t seem to change. For others, it’s tied to experiences of trauma, OCD, eating disorders, or the ongoing effort of living in a body or world that hasn’t always felt safe. Many are also navigating questions of identity, neurodivergence, or health alongside their mental health. What they’re looking for is clarity, steady support, and practical ways to start untangling the patterns that leave them feeling stuck.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
