There is a finality to symptoms such as insecurity, depression, anger and anxiety. Exploring one’s psyche can lead us on a path of transformation, creativity, authenticity to oneself and healing. Jungian therapy is a process suited to anyone with an interest in knowing more about themselves. As Jung said “one does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious” and so Jungian therapy is a journey of awakening inner aspects one may not have realised they carried, aspects brought forth which may have hindered a connection to ourselves and to others.

We work collaboratively to achieve the clients counselling goals, and to understand more about themselves and what is going on behind the presenting issue/s.

I work mainly with women who for whatever reason, are finding life a bit of a struggle. I do also work with men to help them understand the women in their lives. I am also trained in couple counselling. Some of the most common reasons come to see me include relationship issues, mothering, work/life balance problems, anxiety, depression, grief/loss to name but a few. Commonly we get bogged down in how we “should” be doing things, rather than what suits us and our lives. Women tend to put themselves at the back of the queue, and in times of stress, our self care tends to suffer, leading to overwhelm. Let me help!

My ideal client is an adult navigating a major life transition—perhaps due to illness, identity shifts, trauma, or systemic discrimination. They may feel disconnected from themselves or others and are seeking clarity, emotional healing, and a stronger sense of self. They want to feel understood, make meaning of their experiences, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. They’re curious, reflective, and ready to explore what a fulfilling life could look like—seeking therapy not just to “fix” problems but to grow, integrate, and move forward with intention.

I'm a registered therapist and health coach who helps busy female professionals (and mums) struggling with burnout, stress, anxiety, and weight loss difficulties to remove unhelpful patterns & coping mechanisms and uncover the root cause, so they can press the reset button, realign, reconnect, and feel like themselves again. Most of my female clients are juggling multiple priorities and have endless responsibilities between work and home life. They feel like they've tried it all but still feel stuck and they just want to come up for air and feel like they can catch their breath and recognise themselves in the mirror again.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Counsellors

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
