As the Director and Principal Psychologist at Drop Of Life Psychology Clinic I help couples feel more connected, supported, and understood.
My ideal client is often the one others rely on—doing their best to hold everything together. They may be a new parent, a couple feeling disconnected, or someone exploring their neurodivergence. They’re seeking clarity, connection, and relief from overwhelm. Their goal isn’t perfection—it’s to feel like themselves again. I offer warm, collaborative support to help them get there. As the Director and Principal Psychologist at Drop of Life Psychology Clinic, if I’m not the right fit for you, I’ll help connect you with a member of our experienced team who works across the lifespan and with a range of presentations.

It is tough managing your family, your relationship and yourself acceptance, but I am right next to you if you feel overwhelmed.
Menopause and Mental Health are interwoven and have a powerful impact on wellbeing. Without tuning into your mental health and managing stress and burn out, feelings of low worth or rejection, you will struggle to lose weight, no matter how much exercise you do and protein you eat. Menopause is a time when you need to know what you need and how to ask for it because I bet you have spent much of the past 20 years putting everyone else first and now those around you don't notice you are struggling, or do not know how to support you, practically or emotionally. When you put you first, watch your relationships, and lifestyle flourish.

Relationship issues effect most aspects of your life.
Emotional Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy using Attachment Theory and Experiential practices, provide you with an in-session experience of vulnerability and emotional expression that you can subsequently use in the privacy of your home. Practice is needed to make this a habit that then will remain with you for the rest of your life.

Couples Counselling

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
