I endeavour to provide you with a gentle, reflective space to facilitate a joint exploration of your inner world. One of our innermost needs is to form meaningful emotional connections. How we internalise relationships with others, in combination with our temperament and proclivities, influences our development. Frustrations of our emotional needs result in painful feelings, perceptions, and expectations about ourselves and others, all of which obscure our true selves. My approach, therefore, is to help you develop insight into and work through your emotional experience to connect with your true self.

My passion is to help clients transform their lives and transcend by breaking old habits and limiting belief structures to truly live a life of happiness and freedom. I’m determined to help those break free from their patterns, barriers, to develop self-acceptance, and embody living a life to their fullest potential. I'm not content with merely addressing the symptoms you present; my focus is on tackling the very root causes that created those challenges in the first place.

You may be feeling anxious, worn down, or quietly exhausted from carrying responsibility for others. Many of my clients are men who over-function - fixing problems, staying strong, and putting everyone else first - while struggling with guilt, shame, or burnout underneath. You might feel stuck in patterns where you give more than you receive, or struggle with boundary challenges and balancing family, work, or faith. You might be seeking calmer emotions, stronger relationships and a clearer, more authentic sense of self. Women with similar struggles are also warmly welcome.

I work with people who feel burnt out or quietly overwhelmed by the pressure to keep proving themselves. Life can feel like a constant test of your abilities, creativity, and resilience. You may be excelling on the outside — at work, in your studies, or in your creative projects — but inside, there’s a persistent exhaustion, self-doubt, or sense that you’re never doing enough. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, think deeply, and explore not just symptoms but the underlying pressures shaping your experience.

My professional journey has involved extensive work with individuals navigating complex challenges, including histories of PTSD, IPV, sexual trauma, anxiety, substance use, and attachment disorders. I would describe my practice as holistic, drawing primarily from well-established, evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT to realistically address thought patterns, DBT to enhance emotional regulation & interpersonal skills, elements of ACT to foster psychological flexibility & EMDR to process traumatic memory. I value transparency, openness, & honesty, so we can collaboratively create an environment of mutual trust and understanding.

What other situations are happening right now that is taking away your “happy”? If these issues concern you or anyone you know, maybe I can help.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
