Maybe you're coping on the outside, but on the inside, you feel tense, on edge, anxious, overwhelmed or just not quite able to settle.
In our sessions, we work together to understand what’s happening for you; not just in your thoughts, but in how you feel, behave and show up day-to-day. I help you to recognise patterns your system has learned over time and support you to respond in ways that feel safer, more settled, more helpful and more aligned with how and who you want to be.

I know what it’s like to have life fall apart. My own journey through hardship led me to psychology — not just to survive, but to truly live again. I specialize in supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, mood-related challenges, and life transitions.
As C.S. Lewis once wrote: “Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” Holding on to the past can keep individuals from healing and moving forward. I support clients in finding the courage to let go and move through their healing journey. I offer a safe, respectful space to explore their experiences, reconnect with values, and move toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, integrative, and trauma-informed, with openness to incorporating Christian faith or personal beliefs when meaningful to the individual.

Anxiety, Panic, Stress, Trauma, PTSD, and OCD are my main areas of focus.
I will always aim to tailor how we "do therapy" to your unique needs and preferences. This means that the modality we use will depend on what would best suit you - and we will decide together what approach to take. I am trained in CBT, EMDR, ACT, SFBT, and Child Centered Play Therapy. I also provide assessments for Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disorders.

Does your child come home from school and unleash a meltdown worthy of an Oscar? Homework battles? Friendship dramas? Or maybe it’s you—lying awake at 2am, overthinking everything, and surviving on caffeine. You’ve tried pep talks, deep breaths, and maybe even bribery… but nothing sticks. What you really want is less chaos, more calm, and to feel like yourself (and your family) again. We get it—we’re parents and humans too, and we know life doesn’t always go to plan.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
