I work with sensitive, intuitive adults, teens, and young adults in Noosa Heads who often experience life more intensely than those around them, seeking support for anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. You may feel exhausted from trying to hold it all together. Sensitivity is not something to fix or overcome, it’s a way of relating to the world and can be a strength. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and nervous-system focused. I bring a background in yoga and wellness. I also work in family law, which gives me experience with relationship breakdowns, conflict, and emotionally complex family dynamics.

Many of the women I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. They’re smart, capable, and self-aware, yet stuck in the same patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. If you relate, you’re not alone. I help women who struggle with relationship challenges, chronic stress, and the lingering impact of trauma. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, feeling disconnected from your body, or constantly doubting your worth. On the outside you appear "fine", but inside you feel tense and overwhelmed.

Eating disorders can feel hopeless, but they aren’t. Whether this is your first time seeking help or your umpteenth time, I believe everyone can recover. Just as there are many reasons why an eating disorder manifests in your life, the way you recover will be just as unique. If there were a one-size-fits-all solution, that would perhaps be as deceptive as the problem itself. Whether it’s perfectionism, judgment, loneliness, self-improvement, health, fear, family issues…Together, we will discover what invites these problems into your life and begin to find what recovery means for you.

I will often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other Mindfulness-informed and Cognitive Behavioral frameworks to inform my therapy and to help you reach your therapy goals .
I am a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in treating a variety of disorders. The clients I often work with might find themselves being stuck in life for different reasons. It might be trauma, burnout, anxiety or other circumstances that get in the way of living a fulfilling life and they are ready to make some changes. They are curious and interested in learning more about themselves and are motivated and ready to take some practical steps to make changes in their lives.

Sessions are depth-oriented and evidence-based, drawing onCBT, ACT, psychodynamic, and parts-based approaches.
My clients are adults who sense that something deeper is driving what's happening on the surface — the burnout that rest doesn't resolve, the relationship pattern that keeps repeating, the grief that won't move, the version of themselves they keep returning to despite wanting to change. They're often high-functioning people carrying more than they show. They've tried pushing through. They're ready to try something different. They don't need to arrive with everything figured out — just a willingness to look honestly at what's been getting in the way.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
