If you’re looking for a therapist who shows up as a real, responsive human rather than a blank slate, you’re in the right place. I’m passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I also have lived experience as a mum (and step-mum), wife, personal experience of grief and loss, trauma, and living with chronic illness. I empower clients while gently exploring deeper patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others. In couples therapy, I help couples understand patterns, navigate difficult conversations and reconnect with empathy, and emotional safety.

Emotional struggles often signal that something in your life needs attention. Anxiety, mood fluctuations, addictions, and relationship struggles can leave you feeling stuck and unsure of how to move forward. Unprocessed challenging experiences, such as trauma, narcissistic abuse, domestic/family violence and addictions can shape how you see yourself and the world, making it hard to break free from harmful patterns.

And what I've noticed is how many people struggle with their relationships - that could be the relationship with their partner, their child, their parents, their co-workers, their mates or the biggest and most important relationship of them all...
The great thing is, with years of experience and a real desire to empower others (some use me as a life coach), my expertise on the mind and human behaviour allows me to help others get real, positive and life-changing results using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused strategies and a Humanistic and Person-Centred approach.

I use mindfulness based cognitive behaviour therapy and have also found it hugely beneficial to tap into our somatic self - so my sessions are a blend of talk, somatic practice (learning more about your nervous system and ways to regulate in a way that is helpful to you) and learning new skills and strategies to increase capacity to manage life stressors.

If you're looking for a run of the mill counsellor or mental health professional to assist with your mental health queries, feel free to contact one of my very capable colleagues. I look at life through a different lens, with a transpersonal -even spiritual- mindfulness-based filter. Expect to see life from a broader perspective, while still being very practical. Expect to work from the inside out: YOU will change, and then your circumstances will. Understanding how you (and your brain) operate will help you manage your emotions and behaviour more effectively. This, in turn, will make you less sensitive to (negative) emotion-shifts.

You might be finding that life feels heavier than it used to. The things that once felt manageable now leave you drained, anxious, or second-guessing yourself. Perhaps there's been conflict, loss, or change, and you're not sure what you need - only that something doesn't feel right. I work with adults navigating stress, life transitions and the everyday challenges that can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. Together, we'll explore what's happening at a pace that feels right for you.

You may be a woman aged 14 years and over who is used to coping, managing and keeping life moving, yet beginning to notice early signs that things feel heavier or less sustainable. Stress or anxiety may be building, your nervous system may feel more sensitive, or your confidence may be less steady. You may still be functioning day to day, but sense that familiar ways of coping are no longer working. You might be navigating changes in relationships, study or work, health or energy levels, family roles, hormones, or simply wanting space to pause, reflect and reconnect before things become overwhelming.

Men struggle to open up about whats troubling them. How do I know? Because I bottled my own troubles up for 30 years! Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety and burnout are all challenges I've worked through since I was 8 years old. I've learned through my own journey, that bottling things up doesn't help; and through Mindful Men, I aim to inspire men to open up, get the help they need, and live a life full of hope, purpose and joy.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
