I have experience supporting people living with trauma, including PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to coping on your own or supporting others. You might be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or impacted by past experiences that still feel close. I offer a warm, non-judgmental and informal space where you can feel safe, heard and supported during vulnerable times.

Working with people experiencing emotional issues, mental ill health and somatic symptoms from trauma is my main area of interest. I am also neuro-divergent friendly, with my own neurodevelopment disorder of ADHD, which assists me to understand and identify your strengths and work with them in a person centred framework.

I am especially passionate about working with couples and individuals navigating communication, anxiety, and unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns.
I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable and even daunting, which is why creating a safe, welcoming space and building a genuine client-therapist relationship is a top priority for me. I strive to make the therapeutic process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, grounded in each individual’s strengths and personal goals. I deeply respect that every client is unique in their experiences and circumstances. My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients in understanding and transforming emotional patterns.

I specialise in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation difficulties.
Hello! I provide psychological assessments for diagnosis and functional capacity, rather than ongoing therapy. I've worked in the NDIS space for many years completing Functional Capacity Assessments, as well as assessments for schools, Centrelink, NDIS, and private purposes. I don't prescribe medication, but can liaise with your GP or psychiatrist if needed. I travel across South East Queensland and can meet at your home or another comfortable location. Appointments are usually available within 7–10 days, with reports provided within 2–3 business days after assessment. I work with people 3 years and older.

Experiences such as anxiety, depression, anger, self-criticism, avoidance, flashbacks, nightmares, social withdrawal, poor self esteem, perfectionism and/or addictive behaviours are amongst the common symptoms.
My main focus is helping my clients - through relationship with me - feel more connected to themselves and their lives, loved ones, friends and work. Together we explore present difficulties and discover patterns that may have been there for a long time. This gives access to personal growth and healing. Many of my clients have had psychiatric diagnosis; ASD L2, (C) PTSD, BPD, ADHD. I offer Medicare rebates (10 sessions) and Bulk-Bill (No Gap Fee) as I am committed to making quality therapy accessible to the whole local community. I do offer a telehealth option for sessions but prefer face-to-face when possible.

I am very privileged to work with clients who are interested in their self growth and development. Most of the time when people come to see a psychologist they are wanting to have some change in their life and they need the space to talk through their issues. I love providing a safe, confidential place for people to explore the difficulties and life experiences that have been challenging for them.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
