There Is Nothing Wrong With You <3. We all have certain traits that can either benefit us or hinder us. This all depends on the circumstance and how aware we are of which trait is behind the wheel in any given moment. Your Vigilance keeps you safe, but when it is always taking the driver’s seat your nervous system becomes taxed. Your people pleasing makes you feel valued and it’s good to care about the people around you. However, having clear boundaries makes for more authentic relationships and stops you from burning out. I’m not interested in trying to "fix" you, but I would love to support your path to self-awareness.

I work with people who are ready to make meaningful change.
Together, we explore how our lived experiences shape us — how different aspects of ourselves develop in response to what we’ve been through, and how some of those patterns can later create difficulties. We’ll gently uncover what’s happening beneath the surface — the patterns, triggers, trauma and unspoken dynamics — and work toward real, lasting relief. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, anger, or a persistent sense that something isn’t quite right, this is a space where you don’t have to work through it alone.

Sea Soul Crew Counselling was created to support yacht crew and sailors navigating the unique mental, emotional and physical challenges of life at sea.
Sea Soul's ideal client can be seen as a seafarer that is high-functioning, yet emotionally stretched beneath the surface. They may be navigating crew dynamics, self-doubt, people-pleasing, body image concerns or the pressure to always perform and 'hold it together' onboard.
I find Sea Soul clients to be self-aware, reflective and open to growth.

As a counsellor, I draw from person-centred approaches, Mindfulness Integrated DBT and Jungian therapy techniques, among others, to meet each person as a whole being with mind, body, and spirit. I hold deep respect for the sacred journey that each individual walks and the wisdom that resides within their story. I believe every person carries an innate capacity for healing, growth, and awakening when nurtured in a space of compassion and presence. My role is to help cultivate that space, one grounded in empathy, where emotions can be safely explored, insight can unfold, and the deeper truth of the self can gently emerge.

At times, we all feel lost, lack motivation and direction and feel stuck. Our minds sometimes feel foggy and can't seem to gain clarity about the future which is causing stress and overwhelm. While this is normal for us occasionally, it can steer us out of control the longer it is left untreated. We need to become self-aware of our thoughts, emotions and behaviours so that we can manage and control what is happening and take responsibility for wanting more...more control to manage our thoughts and fears...more strength and courage to be the person we want to be...happy and resilient. I have proven strategies and guidance for you.

You might find yourself replaying conversations, second-guessing your decisions, or worrying about how you come across to others. Perhaps you apologise quickly, put others first, or feel responsible for keeping relationships smooth. When things feel hard, your mind may turn inward with the question: What’s wrong with me?
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet quietly hard on themselves. They want to feel calmer in relationships, trust their voice, and stop shrinking to be accepted. They’re not looking for quick fixes, they want to understand themselves more deeply.

You look like you’re coping, but inside you feel overwhelmed, irritable and stretched too thin. You may be raising children far from family support, navigating cultural expectations, relationship strain, or the intensity of strong-willed kids. The constant mental load, the guilt of never doing enough, or the tension that builds after long, exhausting days. You want to feel calmer, less guilty, more connected to yourself and your family, and to stop feeling like you’re failing at your relationship or as a mother.

Every person I work with is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. This means looking beyond people's current condition, situation or diagnosis to also consider their broader life-history, including how current symptoms may have been shaped by early life experiences. I believe that everybody, no matter how complex or challenging their situation, circumstances or life experiences, when provided the right support has within themselves vast resources for self-understanding and resilience.
