Relationship Issues Counselling in Brisbane, QLD
My experience also includes working with domestic violence situations, relationship breakdown, anxiety, depression and trauma.
I have had a lot of experience with working with people and I very much appreciate the need to have someone listen, and I mean truly listen. Our world is often fast and furious, our lives more often than not quite chaotic, and it can be difficult to cope with the many hurdles that are thrown at us, and to find someone who actually offers their help unconditionally. My role as your Counsellor is to walk by your side, to respect the privilege that it is to share your story with you, and to perhaps work with you to help find the way forward. Sometimes it is just an ear that makes the difference.

So many say "I just want to be normal" especially if they have experience trauma in their lives. Many clients don't trust easily if they have been betrayed and fear they are "stuck forever... nothing will change... " .

It is a space where you can consider relationship patterns, how they have developed and how they leave you feeling.
I work with people who struggle to be themselves, trust themselves and want to have better relationships with other people. If this is you, you might try to achieve this by taking care of everyone else or presenting a version of yourself to the world that you think people would like. You no longer know who you are or what you stand for. Because you’re working so hard within all your relationships you are probably kicking goals in areas like work, but this comes at a cost. You are going above and beyond for others at the expense of yourself which leaves you feeling exhausted, unfulfilled and stressed.

I am committed to promoting awareness around mental health issues that disproportionately affect men, such as depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
Men's counseling is a calling that resonates deeply with my passion for fostering mental health and emotional well-being. I am driven by the desire to create a safe, non-judgmental space where men can explore their feelings, challenges, and identities. In a society where traditional notions of masculinity often discourage vulnerability, I believe it is crucial to empower men to express themselves openly and authentically. By providing support tailored to their unique experiences, I aim to help men navigate personal struggles, improve relationships, and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives. Partners/supports are welcome.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
