Are you someone seeking to deeply understand your triggers and emotional patterns, rather than just focusing on the surface-level changing of thoughts and behaviors? You may have tried other therapies without success or experienced relapse after treatment ended. Often my patients are struggling with trauma, chronic distress, or unhelpful relationship dynamics, and want to feel better and regain control. Using the trauma-informed Conversational Model, I provide a compassionate space to explore these deeper issues, fostering healing, resilience, and lasting emotional clarity.

Hi, I’m Adam. If you’re feeling stuck in anxiety or weighed down by past experiences, you’re not alone, and it doesn’t have to stay that way. Many people find themselves caught in patterns of overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or reactions they can’t fully explain. My approach goes beyond just talking, working with both the conscious and subconscious mind to create real, lasting change.

I’m a therapist with a deep curiosity about how we understand ourselves. My work is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, with an integrative approach that includes music and talk therapy. I support adults navigating anxiety, identity, emotions, and relationships, helping reduce 'stuckness' and build more meaningful ways of relating. With a background in disability and mental health, I see all behaviour as communication. I offer a thoughtful, collaborative space to explore patterns, deepen self-understanding, and create lasting change within a safe, trusting connection.

Life is a hard teacher. It's not always forgiving and sometimes the lessons are completely overwhelming. It can create internal experiences that appear utterly intolerable, leaving you wrought with anxiety, trauma, stress, panic or depression. I will work alongside you, to give you strategies to work through these dark moments so that you can live a life with meaning and purpose.

I find it incredibly gratifying and fascinating to uncover and understand the patterns in our lives.. how we think about ourselves, about others, how we expect to be treated, the ways in which we criticise and admonish ourselves. There can be so much happening that sits just outside of our awareness. What I try to offer in therapy is the space to uncover and explore these patterns, as a means of understanding what might be making us feel down, or anxious, or guilty.

I work with human beings, all of whom experience suffering. People who struggle with the impact that their thoughts, memories and feelings can have on their ability to live in accordance with their values. If you escape your feelings and thoughts through exercising, working too hard, thinking too much, looking at screens too much, modifying consciousness, or some of the other inventive options out there, then I believe I have an approach that might be of use to you.
