I have experience working with adults who face life challenges and young children and adolescents who have social, emotional and behavioural issues.
I provide a warm, welcoming, and safe space where you can explore your feelings and challenges without judgment. My approach is comfortable and accessible—I use everyday language rather than therapy jargon, and I bring a sense of humor when appropriate, because therapy doesn’t have to be uncomfortable.Therapy is a shared experience, where we work together.

If what you really want is a relaxed, no-judgment space where you can be yourself—messy bits and all—and work out how to feel more like you, without the pressure. Maybe you’re neurodivergent or queer, dealing with anxiety, burnout, or just feeling a bit out of place. Maybe you’re done with masking and juggling everything. You’re not here for surface-level chats—you want a therapist you can genuinely connect with. Someone who gets the deeper stuff, and helps you make sense of it at your own pace.

You might be here because the bad days never seem to end... perhaps you're feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected or you’re stuck in a cycle of negative thought patterns like, “I’m not good enough” or “I'll never change or get better”. Maybe you're struggling with anxiety, chronic stress, fatigue, depression, emotional numbness, difficult memories... or past traumatic experiences that continues to affect your life today? There may be tension in your body that feels more emotional in origin, or you're feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Perhaps it's finally beginning to take a toll on you, or your relationships?

I have years of experience working in both community and private practice settings, helping adults, teens and families navigate a range of struggles.
I work primarily with adults and young people (16+) who feel burnt out, anxious, emotionally sensitive, or disconnected from themselves. Many of the people I work with are "achievers" and are often seen by others as being "competent". They describe overthinking, chronic stress, digestive issues or disordered eating, tension, parenting struggles and emptiness. Despite this, they keep on going and showing up for everyone else. There is a sense that something needs to change and often a desire to simplify or slow down, but the path towards this seems unclear.

Teen Therapists

What does therapy for teenagers look like?

When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?

There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?

You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
