Good therapy is gold.
I work with somatic modalities to help people's bodymind heal from stress, anxiety, PTSD, early life relational trauma and more. Anxiety and trauma is more common than we think and individualised therapy can make a real difference.

Many of the people I work with are externally functioning but feel emotionally overwhelmed, navigating stress/burnout or complex life transitions often with underlying trauma. Substance, food, work or device dependency are common with feelings of being stuck in patterns shaped by early attachment wounds, perfectionism, ADHD/ASD. My clients seek to feel more regulated, connected and free — not just coping, but thriving. They’re seeking depth, insight, and practical tools to shift longstanding patterns, and are drawn to an integrative approach that blends evidence-based therapy, somatic work, and compassionate curiosity.

Try a somatic approach to recover from anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and relationship issues. Trauma-informed and neurodiverse-friendly. I help you reduce the symptoms you are experiencing, regulate your emotions, and process the historical hurts your body may have been holding. Empowering you to find your own inner strength and resilience, express your feelings and hold boundaries in relationships. Please note I work with adults over 21 as my therapy requires a level of emotional maturity. I do not offer couples-counselling or the Mental Health Care Plan under Medicare.

Welcome. I'm Louise, anxiety counsellor, ADHDer, mum of two kids, one cat and one dog, lover of nature and home reno shows, and recovering stress head.
Eight years ago I was in full-on stress mode so I made some changes (some big, some small) then returned to this work I truly have a passion for.
I especially love helping women in their 30s and 40s move from stressed, cranky, stuck and overwhelmed, to calm, clear and actually enjoying life, rather than rushing through it on autopilot. That said, I work with adults of all ages and everyone is welcome! What brings people here is usually anxiety, stress, burnout, overwhelm, &/or ADHD.

I love working with individuals and couples to help them understand themselves and each other better, and to change the negative patterns that both cause and result from attachment distress. Together we can make sense of what goes wrong and help you heal and change the negative patterns that get you stuck, whether within yourself or with others. Sometimes this may involve creating enough safety to help you recognise and process past relational or attachment trauma. Sometimes it can involve recognising and exploring the experience of living with neurology that works differently than that of the majority of people.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
