I believe that anyone can benefit from psychological support and coaching. You don’t need to be ‘disordered’ to see a psychologist. What you can expect when you work with me is that I consider the relationship between the mind, body and brain in my approach. I also strongly focus on the therapeutic relationship; you need to feel comfortable with your therapist in order to maximise your outcomes from the sessions. I can help with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, self-confidence, ADHD and Autism. I work with adolescents, adults and couples. I also work through a cultural lens and understand the Asian immigrant experience.

I work with adults and adolescents navigating complex presentations; like eating disorders, trauma, personality difficulties, men's mental health, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. I also see NDIS participants and Defence personnel through the ADF. Many clients have tried general support and found it hasn't touched what they're actually dealing with; others can't access quality care where they live. Telehealth bridges that gap across regional and remote Australia. My sessions are collaborative, goal-focused, and evidence-based with an aim to build your capacity to manage your own wellbeing, in a space that is genuinely non-judgemental.

You're Asian Australian, high-functioning, and carrying the silent weight of family pressure, perfectionism, and cultural beauty standards. You’ve learned that achievement is the bare minimum and emotional suppression is the only way to belong. Navigating intergenerational trauma or feeling "not Asian enough" is exhausting. '
You don't need to translate your life to get help.
Previous therapy felt frustrating when explaining cultural context took up half the session. I understand why you can't just "go no contact," why career feels like survival, and why shame runs deeper than Western textbooks realize.

Welcome - I am a Clinical Psychologist providing in-person and telehealth services, with over 25 years of frontline experience as a Police Officer, Detective, and United Nations Peacekeeper.
I work with people who are used to carrying responsibility, pushing through stress, and looking after others before themselves. Often, they have spent years managing pressure quietly; work, partners or as fathers, before reaching a point where stress, anxiety, burnout, anger, sleep problems, trauma, or emotional exhaustion begin affecting daily life.
I provide a practical global evidence based approach to therapy and a good dose of humour.

Knowing what to do and being able to do it are often two very different things. You may already know you should cut back on drinking, stop overthinking, let go of obsessive thoughts, sleep more consistently, or handle conflict differently, yet you keep finding yourself back in the same place. My work focuses on understanding why some behaviours and thoughts persist and helping you change them using practical, research-backed approaches. Alongside my private practice, I work at a Swiss inpatient rehabilitation clinic treating addictions and mental health conditions (OCD, panic attacks, ADHD).

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviours that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioural therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioural change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
