I specialise in supporting individuals and couples who are struggling with their relationships. Those who see me, tell me they feel truly supported and grateful for the new skills and tools they have learned to foster a deeper connection with their people. This deeper connection allows you to be able to have transparent, honest conversations, saying what you need in a safe environment that I support in my clinic and beyond. Learning safe communications and active listening with each other can open up possibilities that did not seem possible when you started. It really is like learning a new language - the language of love!

Many of the people I work with are externally functioning but feel emotionally overwhelmed, navigating stress/burnout or complex life transitions often with underlying trauma. Substance, food, work or device dependency are common with feelings of being stuck in patterns shaped by early attachment wounds, perfectionism, ADHD/ASD. My clients seek to feel more regulated, connected and free — not just coping, but thriving. They’re seeking depth, insight, and practical tools to shift longstanding patterns, and are drawn to an integrative approach that blends evidence-based therapy, somatic work, and compassionate curiosity.

I tailor clinical psychology therapy to each person's unique needs, looking beyond any diagnosis or 'condition' to see how particular patterns in mind and body may be limiting someone's capacity to live fully.

I specialise in adolescents who need support, complex PTSD, and those failed by traditional therapy.
You've been through the system - therapists, medications, programs. Maybe you're labelled "treatment resistant" or "complex." Perhaps you're a young person self-harming, or an adult with trauma that CBT hasn't touched. You've tried being the good patient but compliance hasn't brought healing. You need someone who sees your symptoms as survival strategies, not pathology. You want to be understood, not just managed. You seek genuine relationship where all parts of you are welcome - even the parts called "too much." You want to feel whole again and find new ways of being that actually work.

Teen Therapists

What does therapy for teenagers look like?

When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?

There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?

You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
