How we feel has a big effect on how we see ourselves, others and our world. These feelings can be frustrating, scary, hurtful or worrying. They can either have been there for most of our lives, gradually crept up on us or come as a result of our current situation. Often, when we are struggling, the most challenging part is not understanding what we are feeling or thinking, understanding why or knowing what to do about it.

I work with individuals and families navigating complex transitions, whether family planning, dynamics, separation, co- parenting challenges, conflict, or the everyday pressures of parenting and family life.
I understand that reaching out for support is rarely an easy decision. Often, it comes at a time of uncertainty, emotional strain, or significant change. My commitment is to provide a calm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood.

I often work with parents worried about their child or teen, adolescents who feel misunderstood or pressured, and adults or helping professionals who have carried too much for too long.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. My approach is relational, down-to-earth, and practical — we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools you can actually use in everyday life. I work with children, adolescents, parents, adults, and helping professionals.

The women I work with are capable, self-aware, and holding a lot together. From the outside they’re functioning well. On the inside something has shifted. They’ve often already tried the standard pathways — and left feeling like something important was missed. What brings them here is usually burnout that won’t shift, health changes affecting their sense of self, a suspicion their brain works differently, or a quiet loss of knowing who they are underneath all the roles they’re carrying. I help them finally stop, be heard, and figure out what’s actually going on.

Many of the men we work with aren’t in crisis. They’re capable, driven and doing well on paper. But something isn’t working. You might be shutting down in conflict, carrying quiet anger, feeling disconnected from your partner, or unsure who you are outside of work and responsibility. You want to show up better in your relationships, feel more steady in yourself, and stop repeating patterns you know aren’t working. You may have tried pushing through on your own. Now you’re ready for structured support that actually translates into real conversations, real decisions and real change.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
