We are wired for both challenge and connection — foundational elements that shape our lives in relationships, work, parenting, and more. At Healing Connections Psychology, we recognise how adversity influences emotional expression, resilience, and self-understanding. It can affect how we connect with joy, respond to fear, and relate to others. Our trauma-informed team provides a warm, empathetic space to explore life’s complexities with safety and compassion.

My specialties include relationship therapy, sexual anxiety, desire discrepancy/low sexual desire, discovering sexuality at all life stages, non-monogamy and neurodivergence. I invite you into conversations that are a soft and collaborative blend of theory and practical where we might explore your personal definition of pleasure, but also what does it actually mean to be in your body.

Where appropriate I try to focus on upskilling my patients through DBT skills and somatic practices.
Hello, my name is Kendall. I am a queer sex and relationship therapist working exclusively online with the queer community. The majority of patients that I work with are AFAB, and of the sapphic persuasion, identities vary however I do work a lot with trans and NB folk. Individuals come to me for a variety of reasons from navigating their first queer relationship, sexual anxiety, coming to terms with their gender, realising they are some form of queer and unsure as to what to do about it. Couples are often seeking a queer therapist that simply 'gets it' to help navigate their queer relationship.

I work with individuals and couples who feel "stuck" despite their outward success. You might be navigating anxiety—appearing capable to the world while managing a constant "logic loop" of overthinking and internal pressure. You’re likely the "reliable one" others lean on, yet you feel emotionally flat or disconnected from your own spark. Whether it’s relationship friction or a sense that you’ve lost your way, I help you move from simply "managing" your life to actually leading it.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
