I believe in meeting my clients where they are at and listening to understand their challenges. No thoughts, feelings or behaviours happen randomly, internal and/or external influences play a role. Together we explore what is happening in their lives, how we can work towards achieving their goals, and break down complex issues into manageable tasks using evidence-based therapies.
After a career as a film producer, a lifelong interest in people, and having worked through my own difficulties with various psychologists I was drawn to studying psychology. I worked as a mental health support worker while studying supporting others on their healing journeys. As a provisional psychologist I work from a person-centered holistic perspective.
When I am not working you will find me walking on the beach often with my neighbours dogs, attempting to paint, visiting art galleries and shows, catching up with family and friends and spending time in the ocean or in the spas at the bathhouse in the Currumbin valley.
