I have experience as a psychologist in a variety of settings in both public and private mental health sectors and the drug & alcohol field. I work with people to meet a range of challenges including substance dependence or addiction, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief&loss and childhood trauma.I have worked in and around recovery for many years and understand the hopeless and helplessness of addiction, but also, what is can be like to finally break free from these compulsive patterns.
I aim to help clients build their self awareness and make changes to their self limiting ideas and beliefs. I find that through the therapeutic conversation a person can uncover the real story of who they are, and begin the process of making more helpful and life affirming choices for themselves.
Seeing people create change in their lives and experience a greater sense of freedom is the reason I became a psychologist.
