I'm comfortable working with teenagers to seniors. I welcome clients with life adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, social phobia, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, suicidal thoughts, ASD, ADHD and male MH issues. I have broad experience with individuals, couples and families. Clients perceive me as trustworthy, competent, knowledgeable, down to earth and approachable. I endeavour to explain psychological interventions and concepts in a collaborative manner that is accessible, jargon-free, easy to understand and relevant to clients' circumstances. I've been a Counsellor since 1992, a Registered Mental Health Nurse since 1996, a Family Therapist since 2016 and a Psychologist since 2022. My broad experience in the mental health and therapy sectors enables me to form relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and provides me with a rich store of techniques and strategies my clients benefit from.
I believe that a therapeutic relationship based on mutual trust and respect is the best vehicle to deliver evidence-based interventions appropriate to the individual needs of each client.
