I worked in Samaritans and Lifeline for 20 years. I work with various addictions and traumas. I counsel the addict, or the family, and friends of the addict.
Working with discovering purpose, trust and sobriety, I am able to hold the person in a safe space while dealing with trauma by using different counselling modalities suited to them.
My experience is in trauma, addiction and crisis. I evaluate what the client needs and then together with them and will use various different therapies that will help them begin to manage and know themselves.
I have a passion to help people to begin to know, like and accept who they are. As well to learn skills to help them cope with life and relationships.
I try to provide a safe and secure space or relationship that will help them move away from surviving to thriving.
