My practice is collaborative and reflective. It focuses on working together to develop a deepening understanding of life-long patterns of thinking, feeling and experiencing. It assists people to grapple with very challenging emotional difficulties and complex personal relationships. I specialise in working with people who deal with childhood trauma and related complications. These are often intertwined within the person’s emotional world and can manifest in a range of problems, including depression, panic attacks, difficulties with intimacy and trust, obsessive thinking, mood swings, and substance misuse.
I currently work in private practice and at The Royal Children’s Hospital where I conduct assessment and treatment of children. My clinical experience includes working in public mental health, community mental health programs, family services and substance dependence services. Also, I have worked in LGBTIQA+ health programs and sexual assault services.
