Psychotherapy, as I practice it, offers a safe, non-judgmental, and cooperative space where your feelings, experiences, and innermost thoughts may be understood with kindness; and it also challenges the life-histories that often inhibit us in our interactions and relationships with others. Having taken this first step to begin therapy means that, despite your emotional suffering and conflicts, a part of you has chosen a personal path of life-enhancing. My practice is psychoanalytically oriented and focuses on the notion of listening deeply to develop with you a deeper understanding of your conflicts, pains, and desires.
By exploring influential events and relationships of childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, we can gain a profound understanding of how we feel and relate as we do, as adults. This way of working has supported people who deal with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, grief and loss, sexual difficulties, gender questioning, and cross-cultural issues
My years of experience as a clinician and therapist, together with my background in the arts, have particularly made me attuned to questions of how to embrace our conflicts and identities and find strength and resilience in our difference while remaining engaged with the world.
